Warm Water Remedy
Warm water provides a good example for hot compression just like taking hot showers. It helps the pus to pull to the skin surface, making the skin soft so it will drain effectively. Once the pus is drained, the boils should be flattened. This way, it can be cleansed with warm water and anti bacterial soap. By doing this, you can prevent further infection to happen.

Anti-biotic ointments may be reapplied to the drained area until it becomes completely healed. This site should also be covered by clean bandage dressing to prevent the bacteria from invading it again. Warm water treatment can be very effective and it can be considered as the first treatment.

Vitamins and Minerals Supplementation
It is common that boils are present because of suppressed immune system. That is why proper nutrition and vitamin supplementation is important. Intake of foods rich in Vitamin C can boost the immune system; therefore it is good that you have this every day even if you are not suffering from boils. Magnesium and Zinc, when being combined, are also found effective in treating boils. This can be applied directly as an ointment or as an oral supplement. This can be useful for the first 12 hours of boil eruption to provide early relief.

There are different forms of boil treatment that you can apply. Some may not require you to buy them and some are just present in your home. You do not have to spend much money in treating the discomfort you are having. Proper knowledge is enough to combat the ailment.
